Saad Shafqat, a neurologist based in Karachi has written this novel. The story starts with a very interesting situation of several people dying from a sudden brain disease which comprises symptoms of both encephalitis and rabies. And the mystery here is that none of these patients have in any way come in contact with any rabies’ animal.
This situation mystifies a neurologist (in... the novel), Dr. Asad Mirza and his student, Nadia Khan who further starts to research about the disease by doing brain autopsy of one of the patients, only to find out that this disease has been induced. But who can induce such a disease and why? Through additional investigation it is found out that it is all a part of soon to be happening bio-terrorism activity in USA. Dr. Asad and Nadia now not only have the responsibility to save thousands of lives but are now also under a serious death threat.
All in all, this story starts with a very captivating plot and turns out very interesting but I feel the ending could have been much better. With all that said, this novel still deserves to be read since the idea of the whole story is unique and apart from that the novel also highlights some of the basic social issues taking place in our country.
