Alhumdulilah, today marks another beginning of Ramadan. Firstly, I’d like to wish all my readers Ramadan Mubarak. I am sure you’d agree that everyone has been a little worried about this Ramadan due to the rising temperature. So I am writing this blog post to give some healthy helpful Suhoor ideas which will not only keep your hunger satisfied for long but will also keep your body hydrated.

Homemade Yoghurt Drink
Yoghurt drinks are one of the best ways to quickly satisfy your hunger and also protect yourself from getting dehydrated. Instead of buying readymade yoghurt drinks from the market, go for homemade yoghurt drinks which are simple to make and are more beneficial than those you get in the shops. Homemade yoghurt drinks are free from preservatives, flavourings and high amount of sugar.

Method
- Add half cup yoghurt to the blender
- Add 1 cup water to it
- Add fruit of your choice (strawberries, peaches, mango)
- If you want it sweetened add sugar according to your taste or add honey
- Blend them together to make a delicious glass of yoghurt drink
Cornflakes with crushed fruits
Cornflakes are quick and easy to eat. We usually eat them with plain or flavoured milk. One of the other idea is to first add crushed fruits (your choice again) to the milk and then add cornflakes to it. It is going to taste really good and you will enjoy your suhoor. |
Oat Drinks
Oats are considered to be extremely healthy. They have tons of benefit for our body and it also keeps us full for a long time. Oats also makes the functioning of our digestive process more smooth. But unfortunately not everyone enjoys eating oats. Add oats to a delicious drink for suhoor and you can make oat eating more fun. I have done that and I must say I was really impressed with the effect it had on me. I was more energetic than usual and didn’t feel tired or lethargic very quickly.

Warm croissants with cold jam
This is another of my favourite. Cut the croissant horizontally into half . Heat the croissants in a microwave or a pan then spread chilled jam in between the croissant. Eat it while sipping from a glass of chilled milk. Do let me know then how much you liked it? :D
