Well, it wasn’t the first time that I went out after my examinations. Also, it was just my mid-term examinations but being in my final year of bachelors, the pressure is no less. Anyways so in order to celebrate my freedom from examinations (until a few months) I went out with friends to enjoy a girl’s day out at the Dolmen Mall, Tariq Road branch. I had gone there after quite a long time and there have been a lot of changes, like many of my favourite outlets like The Sentiments and a few more shops that I enjoyed visiting have closed. The food court has a lot of additions and it was fun to choose from a wide range of cuisines.
Window Shopping
For some reason I don’t really enjoy shopping at the Dolmen Mall, Tariq Road branch because of the way it has been designed. I mean it is in a circular shape with two elevators on different ends and those of us who don’t go much can find it confusing because we keep ending up at the one which might be leading to the previous floor while we would want to go to the upper floor or vice versa. But apart from that the shops are great and there are a range of shops catering to different kinds of people with various shopping budgets.
The games at the Sindbad Wonderland
The games section at the Sindbad Wonderland always gets me excited and so we tried our hands at a few games. The games have had an increase in their prices and as much as many of the people will say it is reasonable it might not be for people who have a tight budget and still have to keep their children entertained during weekends and holidays. But the good thing is that they keep coming up with discounts and free events so people who can’t enjoy these expensive rides on regular days can take opportunity of these events.
My Lunch!
At the food court I didn’t had hard time selecting my meal because I wanted to go for a reasonable meal so that I can also manage some delicious dessert after my meal. I went for the Fiery Chicken Burger from the Burger King which costs Rs. 250 and comes with regular fries and drink. The meal is satisfying if you are easily satisfied with small meal quantities or it can be eaten for snack as well.
For dessert in between 5 of us we bought a slice of Chocolate Decendance Cake and Chocolate Brownie Fudge topped with Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream. The total bill was around Rs. 400 and I’d say that as much as these desserts cost, one slice is enough for two people because they were quite heavy with cream and extra spongy cake. Also the extra sweet flavour will make you start feeling sick after a little while.
So at the end of the day I was fully satisfied about my day out at the Dolmen Mall and I am looking forward to visit it again so I can try more of the new restaurants at the Dolmen Mall food court. Don’t forget to share your experience, either good or bad at the Dolmen Mall, Tariq Road branch.
