Just look at this picture, so many colors, curious knowledge seekers and the people of our nation in every dressing. This sight from the top makes me think of my country with pride. People of this country are not only keen to learn but are also active enough to take part in such activities and events.
I went to KIBF 2015 on Sunday and despite making plans to go there early morning I happened to only reach there only in the afternoon. The Expo Centre was filled with enthusiastic crowd and as much as I hate being among a huge crowd I still fancied roaming around the Expo Centre and let myself get engulfed by the books.
For some reason I was captured by the interactive children and teenagers story books and novels. I was stung with jealousy. I mean we never had such colorful books during our childhood. I wanted to be a little girl again. I saw the title ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.’ The book was large, filled with glossy pictures as well as activities. It took me about forty minutes to realize that I must check out the adult’s section before my family plans to leave.
The deals and discounts offered by every stall was one better than the other. I actually had to skip so many of the stalls and only go to the ones where I knew I will find the books I need. I bought two novels, a self-help book, a scientific fact book and old magazine issues. I shopped from Liberty Books, Paramount Publishers and another stall (can’t remember its name).
I also purchased interactive coloring books and crayons for my nieces and nephews. I really wish that someday they turn into keen readers like me.
So that’s it for now. I will be coming up with more reviews of places and events. Don’t forget to share your experience at KIBF 2015 on my Facebook page.
