Studio Café is situated at Khayaban-e-Shahbaz and the best part about the place is that it is away from a busy bustling road and hence allows one to have a peaceful time. Before I begin with their food, let me describe a little about the environment at Studio Café. Studio Café has got a very comfortable environment and just the right colour theme of silver, red, white and black which is perfect for the couples. The leather soft chairs and a chilled temperature inside provides a relaxing experience. They have also got a dining area at the rooftop, which is covered with green carpets and a pebbled path in between to give a garden effect.
Apart from a sophisticated interior and scrumptious food, Studio Café has a studio of its own where a photographer is available to capture your lovely anniversary moments.
Starters
Starting with the main subject, the food I ate there was just incomparable. From the starters, I had got Triple Play which included Stuffed Chilly Bites, Hot wings and Chicken Crispers served with Peri Peri Mayo Sauce. The chilly in the Stuffed Chilly Bites was stuffed with chicken, cheese and mushrooms and coated with bread crumb to give a crispy taste. When dipped in the Peri Peri Mayo Sauce, it became tastier as the sauce had a taste of its own. The golden fried Chicken Crispers, on the other hand was again perfectly crisp with the tender and soft chicken meat inside which tasted wonderful. The Hot Wings were deliciously sour and spicy. These three delicacies were enough to make me aware of what is ahead.
The Main Meal
I was then served with the Barbecue Platter. The Barbecue Platter consisted of Seekh Kababs and Chicken Boti and of course Puri Paratha without which a barbecue meal is incomplete. All the marinated spices on the barbecued items were well cooked and nothing was raw. One may not be required to chew too much of the meat since it was very soft. The Barbecue Platter also had French fries, salad and a sour tamarind dip. The spice was medium which allowed me to enjoy the food without having to go for a drink after every bite.
Next I got to taste the Chicken Ranch Burger. It was not really big but was enough for a person with a decent appetite to fill up their stomach. It tasted good like an original spicy burger with green chillies, a crispy chicken patty and a spicy sauce.
Another dish I tried at Studio Café was Stuffed Crispy Chicken in French Sauce and this turned out to be my most favourite meal out of all the rest. As the name suggests, the chicken was crispy and within the chicken there was a stuffing of mushroom. The slightly thick French sauce was poured on top of the chicken and it played a vital role in enhancing the flavor of the overall dish. This dish was also served with fries and it was another treat to eat fries dipped in French sauce. The French sauce had a creamy taste of mushroom. I was able to see few shredded parsleys here and there which made the French sauce more finger-licking. In addition to that, the Stuffed Crispy Chicken in French Sauce was served with pickles and fries.
Studio Café’s Mexican Steak is a must to be tried. You will get an option between mild, medium and well done. These terms denotes how well you want your steak to be cooked. The steak was topped with a spicy Mexican sauce which brought a burning sensation to my tongue.
Since I have always been a pasta lover, there was no way I wasn’t going to order some pasta dish. I had ordered Fettucine Pasta and was waiting to try it out but it had to wait till the end. The Fettucine Pasta had flat and thin spaghetti with mushrooms and thinly sliced colourful capsicums all hidden in a lot of white sauce. It also consisted of shredded parsley and all together it tasted like heaven. In the mid of the pasta, slices of chicken grilled in herbs was placed which was tender to eat and tasted delicious.
Drinks
Studio Café offers a range of drinks and I would like to describe three of them. The Kiwi Mint drink was a blend of mint leaves and kiwi fruit together and is a great way to lighten your stomach after a heavy course meal. The Kiwi Mint drink was chilled and hence it is ideal as a summer drink.
Frappe comes in three flavours, caramel, mocha and hazelnut. I had tried the hazelnut flavour. It came chilled and along with the flavour of coffee and chocolate sauce I was also getting the taste of hazelnut which doubled the fun. It is for those coffee obsessed people who cannot refrain from having coffees even during the summer.
Igloo is a specialty of Studio Café and it is seriously one crazy drink. Each time the drink was stirred the froth would rapidly bulge upwards. The drink was sweet and very fruity and of course chilled.
Dessert
Last but not the least, I tasted the Chocolate Obssesion. Being a chocoholic, the name of the dessert was enough to make my mouth to water. When it arrived, there was a chocolate brownie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. As I tasted it, the mouthwatering warm chocolate brownie which had absorbed enough chocolate sauce felt so good on my tongue. Eating it together with the chilled ice cream was just out of this world. I really recommend anyone planning to celebrate their anniversary at Studio Café to surely try out this dessert.
So all in all, Studio Café offers the most delicious and appetizing food. They have got a wide range of American and Italian meals and a variety of burgers, sandwiches, seafood, drinks and desserts. And not to the mention the 14 flavours of sheesha which are readily available at Studio Café makes this place a must visit eating spot.
