I had picked this book for a friend and as soon as she had purchased it she was kind enough to borrow it to me since she was already reading another book. I was quite sure that this book won't disappoint me and I was glad to be right.
The story revolves around a female writer, who is extremely heavy weight, strugg...ling to get her script approved by a director despite being rejected by previous directors. She is already at the height of feeling miserable when she reads an article in a magazine in which the writer, who is also her ex-boyfriend writes how difficult it was for him to be in love with a woman who was double his weight. She feels devastated to see that every little personal detail of hers and their relationship had been shared in that article for the world to read. What's worse is that, her friends and family knows who the article is about thus making her feel more embarrased. Life becomes more difficult when she finds out that she is pregnant with her ex-boyfriend's being the father, who now is already in a relationship with another woman. This leaves her to the questions, should she tell him about the child or not? Should she abort it or keep it? Will she be able to take care of the baby on her own? What about her single and freedom filled life? Will it come to end?
This novel ain't about romance, sweet talk or even about getting in and out of relationships. It's about a woman's struggle trying to find herself in a society who looks at a heavy and obese woman with so much disgust.
It's a must read for those who enjoy reading unique storylines
