The story begins with a short introduction to all the four families and then goes to continue the lives of each of the family in a separate chapter. Sidra and Farris have been married for several years with no children in their lives. Farris unconditionally loves Sidra and thinks the spark they had in the beginning of their life is still alive but all of a sudden Sidra’s unexpected behaviour to avoid him and stay away from him, disappoints Farris. Marium and Morgan are living happily with their troublesome noisy children. Marium is a housewife while Morgan works hard to make the ends meet and comes home to find comfort with his family. May and Hassan are very co-operative with each other and have nurtured their two children in the best possible way. Summer and Porter are a young couple amongst the four couples. Summer is a painter while Porter is a businessman.
The story is well written and carried forward in a systematic manner so it never got confusing. I always have a hard time remembering the character’s names but Hend Hegazi proved me wrong this time with her writing style. At the end of the novel I wished there was more to read about Summer and Porter. But overall it is a good read and one must add it to their reading list.
